We don't do landscaping with tree work on the side, and we don't spread ourselves across forty towns. Trees are the whole job, and this stretch of the South Shore is where we do it.
Why a local tree crew
Price a tree from a spreadsheet and you get a generic number for a generic lot. There's nothing generic about a sixty-foot silver maple on a 40x100 lot in Gibson with the service drop running through the canopy and the neighbor's garage under the biggest limb. You can't quote that from a desk. You have to stand in the driveway and look up.
Valley Stream is its own place. Half the housing went up before 1950 and the trees went in with it, so the whole village is hitting tree middle age at once: Norway maples heaving the sidewalks, Bradford pears splitting down the middle, London planes still getting over Sandy's salt. The Village has its own tree law with its own permit. The hamlets fall under the Town. PSEG has rules about the wires that a crew from out of county learns the hard way. Knowing all of that before the truck's in your driveway is the difference between a clean job and an expensive surprise.
How we work
- Free, written, itemized estimates (removal, stump, haul-away, permit) that you can compare against anyone.
- Straight answers. If a prune buys the tree ten years, we'll say so. If it needs to come down, we'll say that too.
- The right method for the lot: climb and rig, crane from the street, or a straight fell when there's room for one.
- Storm calls go first, and storm pricing is the same written pricing as any other day.
- Nobody works within ten feet of the primary lines. That's PSEG's territory by law, and we coordinate with them.
